GameDay #65 Lightning

by: The PensNation Staff

Petr Sykora scored the tying power-play goal with 3:29 remaining in regulation, and Evgeni Malkin finished a frantic Pittsburgh rally with 15.5 seconds left in overtime by scoring his second goal of the night. Penguins defeated the Lightning 4-3 in overtime at Mellon Arena February 6, 2009 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Penguins have reached the middle of their long roadtrip with a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight @ 7:30pm. This is the third game of the current 5 game roadtrip in which the Pens have been red hot and I think that with the way the Pens are playing they should be able to handle the the Bolts without any problems. There is no official word on Sidney Crosby's status for tonights game yet, according the the projected lines he will not be playing, but he has been listed on the past 3 so who knows.
