Game Day Penguins vs Lightning 12/23/08

The Penguins come home after an incredible come from behind win last night to take on the hapless Tampa Bay Lighting inside Mellon Arena @ the 7:30pm hour. This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season and the first visit back to the igloo since game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals for Ryan Malone, former Penguins Mark Recchi and Gary Roberts also play for the Bolts but Scary Gary will be out of the line-up as his 40 some year old ass is hurt again. In case you didn't hear he plans to retire after this year something he should have done this past offseason.

Since the game is on FSN tonight we are going to run a former Penguins poll: I'm going to say the over/under on Malone as a Penguin 8 times, Recchi 3 times, and we will give Gary Roberts 1.5 times. In related Pens news Ryan Whitney will be much anticipated season debut in place of defensemen Kris Letang who is out with one of those "Undisclosed Injuries".
