About Last Night
In about a 3 hour period last night from 8:00 to 11:00 there were some major dealings in the NHL. The dominoes started to fall once Marian Gaborik signed with the Rangers, which led into the Canadiens signing Brian Gionta to a 5-year $25 million contract, and ended with Martin Havlat going to Minnesota on a 6-year contract worth about $30 million. Out of these three signings I believe the Gaborik was by far the worst, giving an extremely injury prone guy a 5-year $37.5 million dollar contract is insane, but I guess if you have the money for things like that and don't care if the player is going to sit out atleast half the season then by all means go for it. Here is a list of all of the signings from last night.
